The National Celtic Honor Society is designed to be highly rigorous for students, but low-friction for educators. NCHS is a student-driven organization.
As a Chapter Advisor, your role is not to micromanage events or create lesson plans. Your primary responsibilities are to:
Provide a space for chapter meetings.
Verify student eligibility (GPA and disciplinary standing).
Review and sign off on students' Membership Seals as they complete their self-directed scholarly, cultural, service, and leadership projects.
Host the end-of-year Induction Ceremony and distribute graduation cords.
When your charter application is approved, you aren't left to figure it out alone. You will receive a comprehensive digital toolkit, including:
The Chapter Bylaws Template: A ready-to-use framework for running your local chapter.
The Seals Tracking Sheet: A simple rubric for approving student projects.
Membership Certificates: Official, printable templates for your students.
Induction Ceremony Script: A standardized, dignified script to officially welcome your inducted members.
